The WordPress development team blog has announced the release of WordPress 2.3 Beta 2.

We’ve fixed a bunch of bugs in the last week — thanks to everyone who participated! That said, this is still rough code, so you should only test the beta if you are comfortable troubleshooting PHP issues, filing tickets, and backing up your blog’s data.

Over 70 commits went into the repository in the past week with many bugs being fixed. New and improved AtomPub was introduced as were tag importers for Jerome’s Keywords and Simple Tagging Plugin.

If you’re interested in joining bug hunt, the next bug hunt is scheduled on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 17:00:00 UTC time in the #wordpress-bugs channel.
