The RTM of Windows SDK for Windows 7 and .NET Framework 4 is now available in ISO or Web Setup format. Windows SDK provides tools, compilers, headers, libraries, code samples, and new help system that developers can use to create apps for Microsoft Windows. You can use WinSDK to write apps using native (Win32/COM) or managed (.NET Framework) programming model. Here’re few key features: · at less than 600MB, it’s less than half of previous SDK, producing faster install with smaller disk footprint · setup screens have been grouped into native, managed, and common buckets · use VC++ 2010 Compilers (32 & 64-bit) and CRT also ship in Visual Studio 2010 for improved run-time & design-time performance · Help System 1.0 enables 'online or offline' documentation view and selectively choose docs to maintain offline · .NET Framework 4 Tools and Reference Assemblies updated specifically for Framework 4 development · support for .NET Framework 4 MSBuild in SDK Command line for building native & managed apps using new VS2010 project files (such as ;vcxproj file for C++ apps).
