Chinese website Cnblogs has revealed some information about the Windows Phone 7.5 "Mango" update. The site apparently had hands on access to a developer build of Mango, and managed to take some shots of the latest update.
According to Cnblogs "Windows Live Messenger is integrated right into the People Hub. The site also confirmed that you will be able to instant message someone directly from the Windows Phone 7 People app, which could mean a direct feature rival to the popular BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) instant messenger if it's widely used amongst Windows Phone 7 users. Also, that "when sending a message the phone will autopick the best method."
Also, note that the new "Mango" features will bring the following to Windows Phone:
- Bing Audio: Think Shazam, but built into Bing and we bet of course Zune Marketplace
- Bing Vision: A full blown image scanner using your camera, it can detect, identify and search using barcodes, Microsoft Tags, QR Codes, CD's, DVDs, Books, and text using OCR (see here for history)
- Turn-by-turn navigation: "voice guidance during driving directions"
- SMS Dictation: Using Microsoft's TellMe service, you can now use voice-to-text for SMS messages by tapping a microphone near the bottom
