If you've been looking for official ways to download Windows 7 SP1 beta, and don't have a TechNet or MSDN subscription; now you can head over to Microsoft Eval Center and download the beta using Windows Live ID. However, note, this isn't the final SP1 code -- and there're instances that you may encounter issues, and you'll have to uninstall this pre-release as it expires June 30, 2011, in order to prepare for Windows 7 SP1 RTM.

Features-wise, there's not much going in SP1, you can actually hold off until the service pack is available via Windows Update.
