As you know, Windows 7 RC is released, but there’re some problems with it like: if you’re running an XP, Home Server or Windows 7 Beta, you cann’t upgrade directly, you’ll have to revert to a Vista image or do a clean install, that means reinstalling, recustomizing, reconfiguring, and so on.
In an earlier post, we showed…before you update a PC to Windows 7, you should install the Connector software and backup your machine to a Windows Home Server, so you’ve an image-based backup that you can return to for testing the upgrade scenario with future builds of Windows 7. The restore task is as simple as dropping the Home Computer Restore CD in the computer and walking through the wizard. For detailed instructions, see Restore home computer step by step.
