If you’ve stored tons of music & media library on your Windows Home Server and HP MediaSmart Server as the backend, until now, accessing it with a number of networked streaming devices had proven illusive. Navigating thru countless media management UI was a distraction. But no more, with Windows 7 Beta’s “Play To,” you can fire up Windows Media Player UI on any Windown 7 PC, point to an album, artist, genre or even playlist and with a right click, send a ‘play to’ command to networked “digital media renderers” (Sonos ZonePlayer, Roku’s SoundBridge, or Xbox 360). And a few seconds later, you’ll be enjoying said musical entertainment over ‘real’ speakers. All done from the comfort of my couch on my laptop.
