Google Web Fonts, this week, got a new simpler, cleaner user interface that makes searching and accessing your fonts easier than ever.
And in the spirit of simplicity, Google also re-branded Web Fonts as Google Fonts.
“It’s still the same great collection of free fonts you know and love, but with a new name,” Google stated.
You can get started with Google Fonts here: www.google.com/fonts.
Also, Google is testing a new footer on its Google.com home page, that now includes a cookie disclaimer required by a European Union directive and a settings menu similar to one that’s available on Google’s search results pages.
“A cookie is a small piece of text sent to your browser by a website you visit. It helps the website to remember information about your visit, like your preferred language and other settings. That can make your next visit easier and the site more useful to you. Cookies play an important role. Without them, using the web would be a much more frustrating experience.”
