Vernon Hills Police Department decided to transform the video surveillance in their patrol cars to ensure they were using best technology for community and officers. The goal was to provide each patrol car with a computer solution that connected their PCs to patrol car lights, sirens and radar, as well as police department's network. They went to work with Modularis, and created a Mobile Video Platform solution that integrates with patrol car systems to ease typically complex operations for officers in field, and delivers digital video evidence securely and in a cost effective way for department.

The department installed MVP a few months ago and police officers are loving it. The multi-touch experience with Windows 7 is very intuitive and requires little training, so officers are up and running in no time and able to focus on safety and other demands of the job instead of being slowed down with technical issues.
