Amazon's Unity plugins for In-App Purchasing and Amazon GameCircle APIs, making it even faster and easier for developers using Unity to add these features into their games and apps.
"The Unity game development platform includes a wealth of tools designed to help developers create rich interactive experiences expertly and efficiently. It also creates binaries targeted for specific platforms such as Android, which developers can publish to Kindle Fire and the Amazon Appstore for Android," Amazon wrote.
Amazon's In-App Purchasing API, enabling developers to sell digital content and subscriptions within their apps and games. The average In-App Purchasing transaction generates more than twice the revenue of the average paid app transaction.
In addition, GameCircle APIs, provide developers with a series of features that encourage engagement within their games, including Achievements, Leaderboards, and Whispersync for Games.
"GameCircle also displays relevant gameplay data, such as Leaderboards and the number of friends playing a game, front and center within Kindle Fire's games library, creating a unique opportunity for developers to keep customers engaged with their games."

Amazon is quietly pushing a new service called "Amazon Pages," which lets companies set up their own pages on Amazon.com as "custom destinations," complete with www.amazon.com/brandname URLs and dynamic designs with large photos and social media links.
The Pages are free to develop, and let brands, businesses and individuals create their own microsites on Amazon; these get customized with their own names (for example http://www.amazon.com/YourBrand). Amazon provides companies with three templates to create their storefronts.
Along with this, the company is also offering Amazon Posts, and Amazon Analytics to measure how well all of the above is working.
"Amazon Pages and Amazon Posts are self-service products that power the digital marketing activities performed by brands and agencies to reach out to their customers. An Amazon Page is a brand-specific web page at Amazon.com that functions as a custom landing page where you can drive traffic. You compose Amazon Posts that appear on either your Amazon Page or your Facebook page or both," the company explains.
"Amazon Analytics supports these products by making use of Amazon's IT infrastructure, analytical insight, and expertise in digital marketing to present a wide variety of usage metrics by page, post, and social channel," the company added.
