One selling point of Windows Vista Ultimate Edition was its inclusion of Ultimate Extras, a special "members only" club of downloads incorporated into Windows Update. As of Windows 7 it's no more - and the club wants its goodies back. Those opting to upgrade Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 Ultimate are discovering that the upgrade advisor reports Ultimate Extras are no longer available. Not only won't there be any more but the upgrade revokes the items you previously received. That's right; Windows 7 doesn't merely tell you it won't deliver another DreamScene content pack but that it's going to take away the ones you already had. In practice, it seems Ultimate Extras were largely forgotten not long after a bright marketer conceived it and as soon as the ink was dry on the product box.
