Twitter has just released an update version 3.3.3 to its Twitter app for iOS, and the biggest change that brought the update is -- the removal of the QuickBar (or dickQuickBar, or Dickbar).
First introduced in an update at the beginning of this month, this new feature has seen immense backlash from users of the app, who considered it had only one purpose -- to intrusively serve 'promoted trends' and help Twitter make some money.
"The QuickBar was originally conceived to help users discover what's happening in the broader world beyond people they already follow. The bar was also seen as a potential means of in-app notifications for new @mentions, DMs, and other important activity.
Rather than continue to make changes to the QuickBar as it exists, we removed the bar from the update appearing in the App Store today," stated Twitter.
The version 3.3.3 now lets you retweet and Quote Tweet in same action menu on iPhone (similar to how it has been in iPad).
