Microsoft informs "If you're having trouble running virtualized apps on your clients and getting Error Code: xxxxxxx-xxxxxx2A-00002AF9 then you'll want to check this one out (see pic). This issue can occur if server name specified in HREF attribute in the app .osd file is incorrect," KB2271253.

To resolve:

  1. On App-V Management Server, open app .osd file and scroll down to following line: <CODEBASE HREF="rtsp://servername:554/ApplicationDirectory/Application.sft"
  2. Verify that server name specified in HREF attribute is correct. Example: If App-V Management Server name is Appv-Svr, HREF attribute should: <CODEBASE HREF="rtsp://Appv-Svr:554/ApplicationDirectory/Application.sft"
  3. Once sever name is corrected, open App-V Client MMC snap-in on App-V client and refresh Publishing Server
  4. Launch app on App-V client.
