Symantec gave a good three-month notice that point upgrades for Veritas Storage Foundation and Server Cluster Software are on the way.

Slated for a June release, Storage Foundation and Veritas Cluster Server 5.1 for Windows updates OS and hardware compatibility, adds some new wizards, and improved performance.

Both pieces of software add support for Windows Server 2008 and expand compatibility with Vista, Exchange 2007 SP1, SharePoint Portal Server 2007, Symantec Enterprise Vault 2007 and BlackBerry Enterprise Server. The update also makes nice with Pillar and 3Par storage arrays, as well as newer boxes from IBM and Hitachi Data Systems.
