Google has just released a new Google Maps Street View scenery of the historic seaport of Kaliningrad (now called Königsberg), Russia--while using sophisticated algorithms to solve the classic mathematical problem "the Seven Bridges of Königsberg."
The mathematical problem posed an interesting challenge: find a route through Kaliningrad--which was once separated by the Pregel River--by crossing each of the seven bridges in town.
The catch "One could only cross each bridge exactly once."
"In 1735, Leonhard Euler, concluded that there was no solution to the problem because it was impossible to find a route that would cross each bridge only once," Google wrote.
In other news, Google Drive, now allow users to give people comment-only access to your sheets, "just like you can with Google Docs and Slides."
This is useful when you're looking for feedback on a spreadsheet and would like to review comments from others before actually making any changes.
Use the steps below to add comments and for setting a try the next time you share a spreadsheet here.
To add a comment, follow these instructions:
- Highlight or select the text, object, or spreadsheet cell you'd like to comment on. If you're working with a presentation, you can highlight an entire slide by selecting it from the list of slides on the left.
- From the Insert menu, select Comment. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Alt + M (Cmd + Option + M on a Mac) to insert a comment.
- Type your comment in the box that appears to the right of the document.
Update 05/08: Google is launching a new interface for Google Maps mobile. The update will come with the removed sidebar and will display everything on top of the full-screen map.
One of the new features lets you restrict local search results to places recommended by top reviews or your Google+ circles.
