Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer talked Bing with The Seattle Times Newspaper, basically saying that Bing is better in numerous areas and that Google is trying to catch-up to their innovations. "Our maps are better, our images our better, our picture is different. And Google keeps responding," Ballmer said.
If they change anything, the position on the page, maybe people won't click on their ad the right way. ... We're just moving, floating, differentiating. ... …"They're [Google] starting to look at the stuff we're doing and copying it back. What's it? Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." He outright says Google is copying them. Of course, many would agree.."
In response to Google CEO Eric Schmidt's calling Bing, Google's biggest competitor, Ballmer said, "We're his best competitor, and we're a very good competitor and we're going to do a very good job."
