If you’re using Squeezeboxes with Windows Home Server to play music around the home. You may know, SqueezeCenter 7 (formerly SlimServer) is powerful and free Open Source software. Not only will it power any Squeezebox or Transporter, but also any software MP3 player on your network. SqueezeCenter 7 runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, BSD and Solaris.

The software is relatively fiddly to install on WHS, but the next release version 7.3.3 will include a Windows Home Server add-in which will make installation much easier. A post on the SqueezeCenter forums is asking for specific feature and integration requests for WHS – head on over and let the guys know what you want!
