Microsoft announced that they plan to discontinue of Microsoft SQL Server JDBC Driver 1.2, as the software giant is working on the upcoming iteration of the SQL Server 2005 JDBC Driver, namely version 3.0. Though, Microsoft didn’t offer a specific deadline for the discontinuation of SQL Server JDBC Driver 1.2. However, customers have SQL Server JDBC Driver 2.0 available to use in their projects, but Saify also asked whether customers might see a problem in the cancelation of v1.2 downloads. “Please let us know if you perceive any issues with your solution or customers. We will continue to support our existing Microsoft SQL Server JDBC Driver 1.2 customers,” Amina Saify said.
