The launch date for Microsoft SQL Server 2012, the next gen datatabase is out of the bag: Microsoft will be launching “SQL Server 2012 on March 7, 2012.” For the big day, the Redmond company is holding a special virtual lauch event and calling the users to participate.
On the SQL Server 2012 launch web site, Microsoft is featuring the agenda of the Webcast timed to coincide with launch, with the following statement:

“You will have access to over 30+ sessions to learn about the new capabilities of SQL Server 2012 at your own pace, in your own schedule.”
“This event will be keynoteed by Ted Kummert, CVP, Business Platform Division, Microsoft, and Quentin Clark, CVP, Database Systems Group, Microsoft.
And, you will also meet with partners, experts, and peers in a virtual “Expo Hall” to discuss SQL Server 2012 one-on-one,” Microsoft stated.
