Chrome OS enterprise customers can now easily and securely deploy applications on Chrome OS devices with newly integrated VMware Workspace One.
The extended collaboration announced at Dell EMC World, between VMware Workspace ONE and Chrome OS will provide increased security and accessibility to applications for customers using the platform, says Google.
Chromebook which already carries multiple built in layers of protection ranging from encrypted data and platform storage, a Verified Boot process, sandboxing of all applications and security modules such as TPM chips.
Workspace ONE adds to the existing security of Chrome devices, which are designed with security in mind from boot up to shut down—now extends that security to virtualized applications to run business with Workspace ONE.
With this integration, workers through VMware Horizon desktop virtualization gain access to more work applications, along with "one click authentication and application management." Because, Workspace ONE on Chromebooks and other Chrome OS devices, "simplifies the secure login process with SSO, or single sign on."
