In other Google Apps news,
Google revealed that over four million businesses use Google Apps for enterprise needs, and as this number grows.
And, that Google will soon offer model contract clauses as an additional means of meeting the adequacy and security requirements of the European Commission's Data Protection Directive for our customers who operate within Europe.
"The Directive is an important piece of privacy legislation passed by the European Union (EU) in 1995. It restricts the movement of data from the EU to non-EU countries that do not meet the EU 'adequacy' standard for privacy protection," posted Marc Crandall, Senior Manager of Global Compliance, Google Enterprise.
"Google's adoption of model contract clauses, along with our continued participation in the US-EU Safe Harbor Framework and our recent ISO 27001 certification, will provide our customers with an even wider palette of EU regulatory compliance options," Crandall adds.
Google also announced today that "Schemer" will now scour the deals on Google Offers and intelligently find ones that match activities you've been meaning to do.
"We have been pilot-testing this Google Offers integration for the past few weeks and have received wonderful feedback from our users (thanks!). We're now excited to open it up to more users," posted Huy Nguyen, Schemer Front-end Engineer.
You can also buy Google Offers directly from a scheme's detail page if you happen to come across one while searching for things to do.
Also, for those who worried about getting too much email? "Schemer will only send you information about great deals for schemes you've specifically said you want to do. Also, you can always opt-out of the offer notifications under your Settings," Nguyen said.
You can start receiving offers hand-picked for you by simply adding more schemes. Search for some of your favorite categories, select a few that you've always been meaning to do, and indicate 'I want to do it'. Let Schemer and Google Offers do all the rest.

Google Scholar help researchers keep up with recent publications -- customized ranking for recent articles, email alerts and following author profiles. Now, starting today, Scholar will let you search just the recent additions to the index.
"The search results are presented in date order, most recently added articles appearing first. To help you decide how far back you would like to scan, each search result indicates how long ago the article was added to the index," posted Google.
To search recent additions, enter a search query as you normally do, and then click on "Recent additions" in the sidebar of the results page.
You can choose to search over just the abstracts (the common case) or entire articles. Our experience indicates that for search results presented in date order, searching over abstracts often allows you to find the key recent articles quickly.
