Samsung’s ACAP-Enabled Plasma Display

Samsung’s 56-inch SVP-56K3HDB is the world’s first ACAP (Advanced Common Application Platform)-enabled plasma display, allowing users to interact in real-time with TV broadcasts. For example, retrieving information/pictures about a certain celebrity that you just saw on the news. Other specifications have not yet been released. We’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available.

…[ACAP] will enable interactive applications to run uniformly on platforms in multiple environments. It will also minimize the cost and complexity to develop consumer products that provide interactive features.
