Samsung has started sending out invitations to press inviting them to a Google/Samsung media event scheduled on October 19 in Hong Kong.
There will be a live stream on YouTube.
From the companies: "The Samsung/Google media event has been rescheduled to take place on October 19 in Hong Kong, China at S221 Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. The event starts at 10:00 a.m. HKT with doors opening at 9:30 a.m. HKT. The event livestream will be available at YouTube.com/Android at 10 p.m. EST on October 18 for US media who cannot attend the event".
In other Android news, Google has unvelied the the gigantic, Android-shaped Ice Cream Sandwich at the Googleplex.
Android lead-man Andy Rubin has just posted a video embedded below of the unveiling.
The description of the video is titled as "Calling All Ice Cream Sandwich Lovers" is nothing but a link to the livestream for the rescheduled Ice Cream Sandwich/Nexus Prime debut on October 19th.
They have done one of these for each of the major releases at this point, from Cupcake, to Donut, all the way through the alphabet to Honeycomb and now Ice Cream Sandwich. They better be careful, or the lawn outside of Building 44 is going to look a terrifyingly crowded bizarro CandyLand before too long.
