“When connected to a docking station – complete with Bluetooth keyboard and mouse – the slate operates as a desktop PC, however it can also be removed and used as an ultra-portable device. Multiple input methods – from touch screen keyboard to digital pen – ensure that it is the perfect solution for presenting, creating and capturing content on the go, without limitations,” Samsung said.
Samsung says that “Series 7 can be carried around just like a conventional tablet. If users are on the move, they can share documents with a customer or take notes in a meeting or lecture; desktop productivity is at their fingertips in an ultra-portable, ultra-versatile form factor.”
“When working in the office or at a desk, the docking station transforms the SLATE PC Series 7 into a full desktop PC, with all the power and productivity that its Intel Core i5 Processor and genuine Windows 7 operating system provides. The docking station replaces the traditional desktop by providing the interface and computing power; it even gives users the flexibility to synch up to a larger monitor for even more efficient multi-tasking.
On the price front, Samsung said that the cheapest version will be priced at $1,099.
