Billionaire Paul Allen's life opened up in American living rooms in a way never seen before on national TV Sunday. Allen is doing a series of interviews to promote his memoir, "Idea Man," and the 60 Minutes splash was the first extensive interview the private Allen has given in years.
We saw inside Allen's home. We learned he's jammed with Mick Jagger, Bono. And Allen has a band of professional musicians on call when he wants to jam. The CBS news magazine also had some rare photos and video of Allen and his Microsoft co-founder, Bill Gates.
And Allen says he remains friends with Gates, who doesn't come across looking very good in portions of Allen's book.
