Operating systems 10 years from now are going to have to do a lot more than operating systems are doing today. It's the operating system that has to provide the technology that recognizes your voice, it's the operating system that provides the technology that has to translate what you said, and what you meant into a set of instructions that other programs can work on. A lot of new technologies have to go into the operating systems,” stated Steve Ballmer in an interview with Onet.
