A new feature to watch Facebook videos on your TV, to help users to connect with people and stories or watching personal moments or keep a tab on the latest election news on bigger screen.
The new ability lets users stream videos from Facebook to their TV through devices like Apple TV or Google Chromecast.
With this annoucement, soon people will be able to cast from Android devices to Chromecast as well in addition to already streaming Facebook videos to "Apple TV, and other AirPlay-enabled devices, or Chromecast, as well as Google Cast–enabled devices" from an iOS device or web browser.
Here's what you can do while streaming a Facebook video to TV:
While casting a video on TV, people can go back on the device the video is streaming and scroll through News Feed. So, you can catch up on other stories while the video plays on the TV.
You can also see real-time reactions and comments on the TV screen, and you can join in the conversation yourself by reacting or commenting—when a live Facebook video is streamed to TV.
Additionally, when you go back to your device, you can also find more videos to watch by choosing a new one from places like News Feed or your Saved tab.
So, how to watch a video from Facebook on your TV: "First up, find a video you want to watch on your phone or desktop and press the TV symbol in the top right corner, then select the device you want the video to stream to."
