Now you have the ability to move property between a Google Analytics or Analytics 360 accounts!
With the introduction of new "property moving", users can now simplify their accounts, and "group properties together." With property moving, "you can now consolidate properties in individual accounts that make the most sense, and enjoy feature parity across all of those properties," writes analytics team.
And the new "Roll-Up Reporting" in Analytics 360 let you aggregate data from multiple properties within a single account. Consolidating properties within a single account offers additional benefits:
- You can apply the same set of filters to the views in all of those properties
- You can easily manage users for the properties and views in a single account
- You can use Change History to see all events from all properties in the same account
Ownership Transfers help property owner have full control of their property.Now using property moving, you can move a property created using a third-party Analytics account outside of its original account and into a new one.
Further more, Google explains, moving a property doesn't require any retagging, and can be done within Analytics' admin section.
How to move a property? First make sure you have full edit and manage users permissions to both "source account" and "destination account."
To get started, login to your Analytics account, then visit Admin section, and "Property Settings" page for the property you'd like to move, now select "Move Property" button in the top right corner, google explains.
