A new image of a Nokia's Windows Phone 8 prototype devices leaded today is touted as the successor of Nokia Lumia 800 and codenamed as the Nokia Phi (just like Lumia 900, which was codenamed Nokia Ace).
The image above is larger than the Lumia 800, is almost 5 inches, has same curved screen. It has the same form factor, i.e. polycarbonate unibody with irreplaceable battery, hence it will be thicker and far heavier.
Check out the image below showing a comparison of the above picture with the Nokia Lumia 800 and 900 below.
A device with the model number RM-820 running on build 8.0.9754.0 of the Windows Phone 8 OS was also revealed via WPBench.
The supposed specs of the Nokia Phi include:
- 4.7" curved screen
- Single Body Polycarobante
- Qualcomm Dual Core CPU
- LTE enabled
- NFC chip on board
- Curved Screen
- Extrernal SD card
- No physical buttons on the front
- 4 physical buttons on the right side: up/down vol keys, power button and camera
The device is expected to be announced during Nokia World 2012 in Finland, on September 5, along with two other Nokia WP8 devices.
It was also reported that the device will be available on sale starting from the last week of October.
