New Builds Available for Windows 10 14393.321, Xbox One Prebiew, and Office Insider Preview for Macs

Microsoft releases a new Windows 10 Build 14393.321 for PCs, a Xbox One Preview build, and a new Office Insider Preview build for Macs in Slow Rings.

A new Cumulative Update build 14393.321 of Windows 10 Anniversary Update to PCs and Mobile is available today.

In addition, Microsoft has also released a new Xbox One Preview build, as well as a new Office Insider Preview build for Macs.

New Xbox One preview build rs1_xbox_rel_1610.161007-1900, comes with added features suchs as Clubs and Looking for Group (LFG).

And, the new build 15.27 (161007) of Office Insider Preview for Macs released on the Slow Ring.

Here's what's new Windows 10 Build 14393.321:

  • Improved reliability of Bluetooth and storage file system.
  • Addressed issue causing printer drivers to not install correctly after installing security update KB317005.
  • Addressed issue causing sign-in errors if a password is entered incorrectly or a new password doesn't meet password complexity requirements after installing security update KB3167679.
  • Addressed issue that required users to log out and log back in before using the application they installed using the Windows installer (MSI).
  • Improved support for networks by adding new entries to the Access Point Name (APN) database.
  • Addressed issue that was causing excessive battery drain on Windows 10 Mobile when connected to Wi-Fi.
  • Addressed issue in which setting up both fingerprint and iris recognition sometimes causes the sign-in to fail on Windows 10 Mobile.
  • Addressed issue that was causing high CPU usage on Windows 10 Mobile.
  • Addressed additional issues with multimedia playback, revised daylight saving time, authentication, Internet Explorer 11, and Windows Shell.
  • Security updates to Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer 11, Windows registry, and diagnostics hub.

For those running Windows 10 version 1511 (build 10586), or Anniversary November Update, will be getting build 10586.633:

  • Improved reliability of Internet Explorer 11, kernel mode drivers, downloading apps from the Store, and Windows graphics device interface (GDI).
  • Addressed issue causing printer drivers to not install correctly after installing security update KB317005.
  • Addressed issue causing sign-in errors if a password is entered incorrectly or a new password doesn't meet password complexity requirements after installing security update KB3167679.
  • Addressed issue that causes Internet Explorer 11 to fail sometimes when using a user-defined style sheet.
  • Addressed issue where scrollbar position is reset after display property is set to none in Internet Explorer 11.
  • Addressed issue where a script in a nested frameset may not run correctly in Microsoft Edge.
  • Improved support for websites by updating the HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) preload list.
  • Improved the upload of telemetry and download of telemetry settings in an authenticated proxy environment and support for Azure Active Directory (AAD).
  • Addressed additional issues with revised daylight saving time, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer 11, and WebDAV.
  • Security updates to kernel-mode drivers, Internet Explorer 11, Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows registry, and diagnostic hub.

KNOWN ISSUES:

  • Clubs
    When viewing Clubs, you may still see the option to start a Club Party even if you are not a Club member.
    Club invites may sometimes show up in the Friends list in Guide and may be counted or displayed multiple times.
  • Store
    When browsing the Store, certain apps may be missing for users with their console set to the Singapore region (zh-sg or en-sg).
    Workaround: To find a specific app, use the Store's search function.
    The option to Install a game or app may appear on the corresponding Store page when the game or app is already installed. For this reason, you may also be unable to launch games and apps from a Store page.
    Workaround: Launch games and apps from My games & apps, pins, or with voice commands.

Finally, here's what's new in Office Insider Preview build for Macs 15.27 (161007):

  • More functions: In Excel, use CONCAT or TEXTJOIN to shorten your text formulas, or try the forecasting functions to help you see the future. (Feature requires an Office 365 subscription.)
  • Trim audio and video files: In PowerPoint, trim unwanted content from the beginning or the end of your audio or video files. You can also trigger an animation by using a bookmark in your media file. (Feature requires an Office 365 subscription.)
