Microsoft Looks to Thwart 'Typosquatters' With New Tool

Microsoft's cybersecurity team has released URL Tracer, a free URL-tracing tool that is designed to help find big-time "typosquatters," who have scams centering around mistyped URLs. The new tool, based on Microsoft Research's "Strider" technology that is behind the Strider Honeymonkey and Strider Ghostbuster effort, also can be used as another parental-control tool.
