Microsoft Edge for iOS and Android - Hero

The preview apps of Microsoft Edge for iOS and Android, and Microsoft Launcher for Android – all designed to easily move work between the phone and PC, announced Thursday.

—And, Microsoft Launcher is available starting today in preview as well. Continue on PC functionality in both apps comes with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.

The new Microsoft Edge app brings all familiar features like Favorites, Reading List, New Tab Page and Reading View across PC and phone, along with ability to continue reading the page on your PC, or save it to work on later. However, features, like roaming passwords and support for iPads, Android tablets aren't available as of today, but will add later in the future.

Microsoft Edge app initially will be launching in US-English, but, will expand to other languages with the preview.

iOS users can start testing the new preview Edge app on their iPhone via Apple TestFlight. While, Android users can sign up to become a tester, as the preview app will be available soon.

Moving to the customization that the Android phones features, a preview of Microsoft Launcher brings Fluent design to Android, and it also let all of your recent photos, documents and more to continue on PC, as well. And, just like on Windows 10, you can even put icons of your favorite people right on the home screen.

  • With a quick swipe-to-the-right, Microsoft Launcher offers a tailored feed of important events, top news, recent activities, favorite people and most frequently used apps.

  • And of course, it allows you to seamlessly continue what you're working on your phone – whether it's photos, documents and more on your PC.

And, since, Microsoft Launcher is the graduation of Arrow Launcher (a Garage project) everyone on it will automatically get the new Microsoft Launcher, today.
