Mary Jo Foley is reporting, citing an internal memo, that Live Search General Manager Dane Glasgow is leaving Microsoft to "work for various nonprofits and spend more time with his family". Glasgow was one of a few direct reports to the new head of the Live Search and Ad Platform, Satya Nadella. According to the memo, Nadella will take over direct leadership of Glasgow's team until "the right successor" is found.

Also interesting in the memo are two references to plans for Live Search: first "(w)ith the Search team's exit from planning complete" and also "to ensure we streamline decision making and making sure that we stay on track with our Fall Release roadmap." Both offer hints as to Live Search upgrades in the fall timeframe, as does the continued refinement of the management team.
