iPhone 4 recall “inevitable” – Apple mods deleting Consumer Reports iPhone 4 discussions

The day Consumer Reports changed its recommendation about iPhone 4, Apple forum moderators started deleting threads about Consumer Reports. According to Tuaw, “Apple has deleted at least “six of these topics,” which’ll give this general error when trying to access the specific topics, “Error: you do not have permission to view the requested forum or category”.” Apple has yet to formally admit the problem with the hardware & suggests a software fix for the antenna issue.

Apple is also, under increasing pressure to recall or offer a fix for the iPhone 4 public relations experts said…Cult of Mac recieved comments “Apple will be forced to do a recall of this product,” Professor Matthew Seeger, an expert in crisis communication told. “It’s critically important. The brand image is the most important thing Apple has. This’s potentially devastating.”

Consumer Reports urging Apple to provide a resolution for the problem at “no extra cost to consumers” and saying that aside from the antenna grievance, the device sits at the top of the list of best available smartphones.
