Internet Explorer 10 in 95 Languages Available to Over 700M Windows Customers

Final version of IE10 for Windows 7 available in 95 languages across the globe. New TV adverts of IE10 features Blake Lewis aired, and the Surface RT brings Touch Cover, kick stand in the spotlight.

Windows Internet Explorer 10 (IE10) for Windows 7 is now available around the world (in 95 languages) to over 700M Windows customers.

"The final version of IE10 delivers a 20% increase in real-world site performance over IE9 making IE10 the fastest modern browser on the market according to third parties," Microsoft stated.

Internet Explorer 10 (IE10) LogoFurther, IE10 for Windows 7 has the Do Not Track (DNT) turned on by default, preventing users from having their behavior automatically tracked online, and it also it support for over 30 new Web standards on all platforms, including support for new HTML5, CSS3, DOM, Web Performance, and web App specifications.

Microsoft said it plan to update Windows 7 and or Windows Server 2008 R2 customers to IE10 "in the weeks ahead" starting today with customers running the "IE10 Release Preview."

In addition, the company has also launched a new IE television commercial which features Blake Lewis to showcase what is possible on a new Windows 8 touch device with IE10:

The site "Explore Touch" that you see Blake interacting with in the spot is also live today at ExploreTouch.ie.

The site built in HTML5 takes advantage of the innovative touch support of IE10 to create a site that can be swiped, tapped, scratched and rotated to fully explore the richness and depth of Blake's track, in an interactive touch player that you can use to mix, explore and experiment with via multi-touch on IE10.

Microsoft also has just launched a new Surface RT promotional video, aimed at the Spanish market brings the Touch Cover and the kick stand in the spotlight.

The Surface RT is going on sale in more countries across Europe.

Update 02/27: Microsoft made available latest version of Internet Explorer 10 Language Packs for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

"The IE10 Language Packs install language specific resource files, allowing users to view the user interface (UI) of Internet explorer 10 in a different supported language. To use these language packs, you must install the matching OS language pack on Windows before proceeding," micorosoft stated.
