HP unveiled its Wireless TV Connect HD Streaming solution, which wirelessly pumps 1080P video from any HDMI–equipped notebook to your TV. Plug in dual HDMI and USB cables to the notebook, and hook the receiver on to the back of the screen, then cable up the receiver to your TV and you’re good to go.
$199 buys you the transmitter and receiver, and with no software required, you should be up and streaming in no time. Given the size of these things, and HP’s rather shaky reputation in TV-related accessories. Still, with less than 1ms lag time, the tech sounds pretty cool, so if you’re tempted, expect to see the Wireless TV Connect land in October.
