Japanese developer-publisher Capcom have today confirmed a new title that should appeal to budding legal eagles is on the way to the PS2 and PSP consoles. Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law is the title in question, and the game should be out stateside in the Autumn, no PAL region datings as yet... objection!
The game is actually based on a cartoon that runs in North America during the 'Adult Swim' late night slot. The animation follows the progress of a series of legal characters, first made famous in the 1960s by Hanna-Barbera's original shows.
We're promised lashings of off-the-wall comedy, and a new roster of characters, settings and plotlines for each case featured in the game. The cases will be rather silly at times, and exploring the scenes of crimes for clues will be crucial to success in the court room.
"Combining Capcom's adventure game expertise with Adult Swim's Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law characters is an ideal match," enthused Jack Symon, director of marketing at Capcom.
"Capcom will be providing the game design direction while Harvey Birdman show writers will be assisting in bringing the stories to life with their unique brand of humor."
