If you’re in US, UK and using iPhone, this walkthrough will help you enable tethering on an iPhone – no jailbreaking needed, and all you need really is a MobileConfig file. In UK O2 charge you for £15 min per month! Note: Of course, even though the O2 iPhone contract claims to offer unlimited data download, there is still the fair use policy, so just be careful with how you use your tethering i.e. don't go watching YouTube or BBC iPlayer! Also, tethering option on the iPhone is only available with an official iPhone carrier.

  1. On your iPhone visit http://help.benm.at/
  2. On the next screen, select "MobileConfigs"
  3. Next, select your provider and download the settings pack
  4. You should now be able to enable tethering
