At “Fueling Growth: Strategic Technology for Microfinance,” summit in Manila, Philippines, Grameen Foundation and Microsoft kicking off a joint initiative to help accelerate microfinance’s impact on poverty alleviation through strategic use of technology. Microsoft will also donate software worth up to $1 million (U.S.) to eligible microfinance institutions (MFIs) attending event. During summit, attendees’ll receive practical advice on how to effectively use technology to enhance their work and prove business and social impact of their technology investments. Equally important, it’ll provide MFIs with the opportunity to forge new relationships with industry partners, service providers and funders they need to maximize their success.
