Google Tags makes find local customers as easy as pie

First, Google luanched a Google Small Business Blog for small business owners. Second, in this post, Susan Holt, co-founder of recreational cooking school in Washington, D.C., tells her experience with Tags:

“our free business listing on Google and Google Maps was bringing in about 60% customers. So to include a “yellow tag” to stand out our listing against competition at $25 a month, was a no-brainer. At first, we used website tag to drive more traffic to our website, we then switched to a coupon tag that promoted a discount on our classes. Since setting up Google Tags, clickthroughs on our listing have increased a whopping 400%! Class bookings also jumped 9% because of coupon tag, and our 24 contract instructors are busier than ever teaching classes on baking and entertaining for occasions like team-building events, birthday parties and summer bridal showers.”
