Despite ongoing controversy in Germany, the small town Bavarian village of Oberstaufen is the first in the country to be viewable on Google Street View. And, as requested, Google has blocked (blurred) the homes of German residents who don't want to be included.

In August, Google had said that 'Street View' will come to Germany by November. Earlier last month, Google announced that 244237 Households in Germany opt-outs.
