Google Optimize 360 and Optimize Out of Beta, Free to Run A/B Tests

Google Optimize 360, an enterprise-class A/B testing and personalization product, and Optimize, are both out of beta as on Thursday. In addition, Optimize is also immediately available to everyone for free.

Optimize 360, since beta launch has been used by over 250,000 users requesting an Optimize account, google said.

Optimize is available in over 180 countries, is built right on top of Google Analytics, is a free version targeted at small and medium-sized businesses. It can be easily implemented by anyone already using Analytics by adding a single line of code. With just a few clicks more, "you can start using your Analytics data to design experiments and improve the online experience for your users," wrties the team.

Once Optimize is set up, anyone can start running an A/B tests on their site, and through the WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) visual editor, "changes about anything can be made on the site by just drag and drop."

In addition, advanced users also have ability to "edit raw HTML or add JavaScript or CSS rules directly in the editor."

While targeting capabilities, lets you serve the right experiences to just a set of users. You can use flexible URL targeting capabilities to create "simple or complex rules for pages and run an experiment."

The Optimize URL tester, lets you find out if a targeting rule set up will apply to a specific URL on your site. "Just enter a URL and the tester will immediately tell you if that page is a match for your targeting rule."

Optimize uses Bayesian methods to calculate and report results based on existing Analytics metrics and objectives.

The upgraded improvement overview help quickly see how an experiment affects the most caring metrics including purchases, pageviews, session lengths, or anything else tracking in Analytics.
