The Google Latlong Blog announced the release of 12 new cities to Google Maps Street View Program. That effectively doubles Street View coverage. And there are many new sights to explore, including first glacier, the "drive-in" Mendenhall glacier in Juneau, Alaska:

Street View coverage has expanded to include:

  • Albany and Schenectady, (New York)
  • Boise (Idaho)
  • Juneau (Alaska)
  • Kansas City, (Missouri) (home of the railway station!)
  • Manchester, (New Hampshire)
  • Milwaukee, (Wisconsin)
  • Research Triangle Park (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill), (North Carolina)
  • San Antonio (Texas)
  • Salt Lake City (Utah)

You can easily embed Street View panoramas, like the ones below, in your own web pages and blogs.
