San Jose traffic in Google Earth at 6:30AMThe Google Lat Long Blog announced that they have added a new layer in Google Earth to provide real-time traffic data. By enabling the "Traffic" layer in Google Earth, you can see a real time picture of traffic conditions to help plan a route or just check out how bad traffic might be in a city that you're exploring. It's useful information to have at your fingertips whether you're house hunting or just browsing.

By activating the traffic layer, little green, yellow and red balls are overlaid on the highways and roads, each symbolize the level of traffic congestion in that area.
