Real-time just got real with Google Analytics 360 can now provide updated insights as quickly as “every 10 minutes,” means you can now faster: fix things when broken, detect trends and react when things are popular, understand and take action on the impact of cultural events or social memes.
“Most first-party data in Analytics 360 can now be collected, processed, and available — via UI, API, and BigQuery integration will be “coming soon” in as fast as 10 minutes,” Google says.
Google has added a icon in the upper right, and it appears only when you are “looking at current day’s data and the report is supported and super fresh.” Just hover over the icon, to see how fresh the data is.
Since, the Analytics pulls in data from as Google refers “integration sources” like AdWords and DoubleClick—are exempted from this enhanced freshness functionality. Because, “these sources operate with additional requirements, like fraud detection,” google explained. For example, “any report with Ads data, including a dimension widened by an Ads integration, will continue to be made available within hours.”
This new level of freshness is only available to Analytics 360 users, for the following groups of reports when the date range includes the current day: “Audience,” “Behavior,” and “Conversion.”
