Starting this week in the U.S., Google Play Music will now show more of Latin playlists alongside other recommendations.
Today, Google added 10 times the number of Latin playlists available on Google Play Music, and notes that “more will be come later.” “Each station has been handcrafted — song by song — by our team of Latin music experts (a mix of DJs, musicians and music critics),” Google said.
“Our concierge of playlists helps you find the perfect, expertly curated soundtrack for any mood, activity or time of day,” said Google. Adding, the Latin music won’t replace already existing playlists and artists you’re listening to.
Further they note, Google Play Music catalog comprises of 40 million songs.
In other news today, when directions are searched on Google Maps using iOS or Android, Google now show a dedicated tab, that display information for car ride services like Ola and Uber, in addition to car, transit, or walking.
Starting today, right from the Google Search app or mobile browser, users can easily pull up “ride service menu.” So it help users easily find the fastest way out there, without having to open multiple apps.
Next, when a direction is searched, a ride services tab with estimated fare and pick up times is displayed (if a car is available near you). Oncem a service is selected, Google will open the respetive service app to book a ride with single tap.
Note, you must have the car service app(s) installed, or else Google will prompt you to download and install the service app.
Additionally, you can speak straight in to the Google search asking for a sevice to your destination.
