Google has released Gmail for mobile version 2.0 for J2ME-supported and BlackBerry phones, designed to be faster and more reliable in low signal areas and to even support basic offline access on phones like the Nokia N95, Sony Ericsson W910i, and BlackBerry Curve. The new version added some time-saving features so you can check email across multiple accounts (including both Gmail and Google Apps email accounts), compose messages even when you don't have an Internet connection, return to your inbox while Gmail sends them in the background when you are online, undo recent actions, and work quickly with shortcut keys which you can learn about in Gmail for mobile's main menu (click Help).*
The application notifies you when there is new mail in the inbox, so you don't have to constantly click on Refresh. It's now possible to save the credentials for more than one Gmail account and switch between the accounts directly from the menu. What's more, Gmail Mobile 2.0 supports Google Apps accounts, which previously required a separate application.
Also, Gmail for mobile is available in over 35 languages now.
Some cool things to try: “scroll using the left or the right key of your phone, the updated interface for contacts which has more powerful search”.
