Valve and Bizarre Creations announced today that Geometry Wars for Windows XP has debuted exclusively on the Steam download service.

If you're asking yourself, "didn't this game already come out in March?" you're thinking of the Windows Vista version. The XP game is about half the price -- in fact, Steam has it at an introductory price of $2.50 until this Friday, when it will jump up to $4.

Seems a little odd that Microsoft would be okay with letting one of the biggest Xbox Live games go exclusively to a competing service, though.
