Gboard for iPhone Gets Doodles, Voice Tyoing and More

Gboard iOS adds 15 additional languages, Doodles, new emoji, and voice typing. Support for rotated text, accounting number formats, and more in Google Sheets.

Gboard, an iOS app that lets search and send information, GIFs, emoji and more, right from the mobile keyboard, today gets an upgrade by adding access to 15 additional languages, Google Doodles, new emoji, and voice typing to the experience.

Gboard will now work in Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Greek, Polish, Romanian, Swedish, Catalan, Hungarian, Malay, Russian, Latin American Spanish and Turkish.

To get typing, searching and sharing in the new languages launches today, open the Gboard app and go to "Languages" -> "Add Language."

Also with the increased support for universal language "emoji", now let you search and send all of the latest emoji from iOS 10.???? ??

Doodles can now be easily access right from Gboard. On days, when Google releases a Doodle, " a new animated "G" button appear cuing you to quickly tap to open up the day's Doodle and search for more information about it," says Google.

Voice typing support, allows to dictate messages directly to Gboard by just long pressing the mic button on the space bar and talk.

Google Sheets introduces several enterprise-friendly features such as support for rotated text, accounting number formats, and more on the web, Android, and iOS.

When you need to fit long header names into thin columns, or when to simply fit more text on a single screen—you can now rotate text in a cell in Sheets by Format -> Text rotation.

Accounting number formats making it easier to read budgets, expense reports, and other spreadsheets containing monetary amounts by aligning currency symbols within them. Just go to Format -> Number -> Accounting.

Also improvements are made to makes it simpler to scan and analyze the way numbers, decimal points, and repeated characters line up.

Several new border styles in Sheets, including various thicknesses and double borders (commonly used in financial statements like balance sheets) are now available through Toolbar -> Borders -> Border styles.

In addition, the following improvements to mobile apps are launched as well including: "Support for using a mouse with the Sheets Android app, ability to view and select existing custom colors in the Sheets Android app, ability to drag and drop rows and columns in the Sheets Android and iOS apps, and formatting suggestions in Explore in the Sheets iOS app."

Phone prompts for 2-Step Verification available since June last year, that give users an option to keep their accounts safe—today adds improved phone prompts for 2-SV. "Users who have opted into receiving phone prompts for 2-SV, for instance, when available, they'll see additional details about the sign-in request, like when and where it was made," says Google.

These improved prompts will appear on both Android and iOS devices.
