A few months ago, Foursquare changed all the maps on foursquare.com, embracing the OpenStreetMaps movement using gorgeous maps powered by MapBox. Today, the location service company announced of extending that partnership to the "over 25,000 developers using the foursquare API."
"As part of our partnership, MapBox is providing a special, free plan for all of our developers," foursquare posted.
"The custom plan at mapbox.com/foursquare will provide developers with everything they need to design and integrate gorgeous maps using the worldwide street-level basemap powered by OpenStreetMap data, like this store locator the MapBox team built as an example (along with an open sourced template on github)."
The plan includes more views, more storage, access to analytics, and no branding.
It's a great way to use the map for small sites or get started as a developer for larger sites.
