fousquare last year rolled out the foursquare for Universities program, which has seen an enormous success. Today, the location service is launching a new custom badge program for university partners who want to deeply incorporate and promote the use of foursquare on campus, informs foursquare.
"With hundreds of schools now on foursquare, we'll be introducing a ton of improvements for foursquare on campus in the coming months. We'll have more to announce soon, but in the meantime, we encourage all interested universities to get in touch with us here. If you're a student who wants to get involved, we're relaunching our ambassador program for fall 2011!," the comapy stated.
foursquare says that "We're currently working with an incredible group of launch partners on this effort. Joining Harvard, Stanford, and Syracuse are awesome schools like Arizona State University, Texas A&M, UCLA, University of Oregon, Texas Tech, USC, Duke University, West Virginia University, University of Oklahoma, University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Kansas, Virginia Tech, UC Berkeley, and The Ohio State University."
The badges will be live at the beginning of the fall semester! And there are a lot more schools on the way!, the company added.
